You are Dust, and to Fish Food you shall return

If executed, death row inmate Hathorn will be transformed into fish food by the weird artist Evaristti, in a performance aiming at protesting against death penalty.
The planned exhibition will consist of a huge aquarium filled with hundreds of goldfish. Visitors would be able to feed the fish using food made from Hathorn’s body.

Evaristti is a controversial artist living in Denmark, who loves shocking performances and projects. In 2004, he fried his own fat in order to cook "Polpette al Grasso di Marco", which he himself ate, and then offered people to eat. In a way,the artist becomes his own work of art, and it has to be eaten. On his site, he explains: "eat me, I am art! and the art devouring public will finally be satisfied".

Another project that had a huge mediatic coverage was in 2000, when he put fish (again) in electric blenders and then invited people to press a button which would provoke their death. That was a project on free will, and the testing of people's actual capacity to say yes or no to torturing other beings.
